nanoBeard

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 June 2026

1. Who we are

nanoBeard is a personal, non-commercial, open-source project by Youniss Kandah, based in the European Union. This policy covers both the nanoBeard website (the "Site") and the nanoBeard mobile app (the "App"). The models run on-device and the source code is publicly available on GitHub.

2. What we collect

Nothing. Neither the Site nor the App collects any personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-up or contact forms, no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking or advertising. We do not store, process, share, or sell any personal data.

3. The App runs on-device

The App runs the nanoBeard models entirely on your device. Your prompts and the model's responses stay on your device — they are not sent to us or to any server, and we never see them. The App contains no telemetry or crash reporting operated by us.

4. Hosting & app stores

The Site is hosted on GitHub Pages. To deliver the page and for security, GitHub may automatically process limited technical data (such as your IP address and browser user-agent) in its server logs, outside our control and governed solely by GitHub's privacy statement: GitHub General Privacy Statement.

If you download the App from an app store (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play), that store may collect data about the download and your device under its own privacy policy. We do not control and have no access to that data.

5. External links

The Site links to services we do not control — model repositories on Hugging Face (huggingface.co/privacy) and source code on GitHub. Once you follow those links, the privacy practices of those services apply.

6. Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have rights over your personal data, including access, correction, and erasure. Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to retrieve or delete. Any technical data processed by GitHub as host is subject to GitHub's privacy statement linked above, and you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it.

8. Contact

For anything regarding this Site, open an issue on the GitHub repository.
